Re: Clothing and fashion
Currently, some nice leather armor and a modest tunic. Hey, I was shipwrecked, I'm glad I could scrounge up enough gold for armor.
Preferably, though? Chitin armor. Fine stuff, but a pain to repair anyplace outside of Morrowind.

Re: Clothing and fashion
Discounting my original spiel, we have a grand total of four and a half posts mentioning clothes. Four and a half. Out of a list of 25 posts, not including this one.
...well done?
Travel is quite the scourge on the wardrobe, isn't it? I've been on the road for so long I fear that the few articles suitable for the finer cities have been ruined beyond repair.
Chitin armour is an abomination. At least leather looks somewhat stylish, even if wearing dead things hasn't been fashionable in civilised company since the Third Era.

I wash them! Also, I consider myself lucky when I can buy food. I think not starving takes priority to new clothes.

It is very good armor for its weight, and style is not what I wear armor for.Regulus Vortens wrote:Alicia Jornali wrote:Currently, some nice leather armor and a modest tunic. Hey, I was shipwrecked, I'm glad I could scrounge up enough gold for armor.

Though if you've seen a good suit of chitin, you probably wouldn't think it was an abomination.

Form of laminated insect caprice... there really isn't an equivelent outside of Morrowind. Very comfortable, very resilient.Arla Neerus wrote:um... what is Chitin?
Let's see if I can sketch my father's setup...

did you catch a ton of little ones?

Re: Clothing and fashion
Morrowind wildlife is very, very weird compared to the rest of Tamriel. But yes, there are big ones. And while they're a bit creepy if you're used to bugs being small, they're not interested in the average person. More interested in some of the other weird wildlife.Arla Neerus wrote:So you wear bug bits?

... you know what, just take a look at a bestiary if you want to know more, I'm not going to take the time to explain it.

I always wondered what creature it was made from, myself. It might offer decent protection - I wouldn't know, I'm reduced to wearing scale armour, of all things! - but it's far too unwieldy for my tastes. Not to mention the smell...

... if you smell something coming off of chitin armor, that means that it wasn't properly sealed and is decaying. As for protection, yes, it's good. Tougher than leather armor, but still lightweight.Regulus Vortens wrote:I always wondered what creature it was made from, myself. You men and mer with your warm blood. I wear what I need to keep warm and covered. I care little about how I look.

Don't you need a lot of heat and stuff? Are Argonians cold like lizards?

That's why I have magic. I can use it to channel heat throughout my body. It takes a good deal of energy, though. I'm still trying to figure out how in Oblivion Kennek survives in the weather.

So more evidence that you people are lizards!
I don't get how that's considered insulting. I don't think it is.
