It's not talking though. It's writing at each other. And oh hey, a new guy! Girl, maybe. Elf? Orc? Man? Whatever. Doesn't matter. I have better things to do anyways. Like finding a blank book that doesn't magically send what I write to other blank books. I guess I'll write more later.

Oi! What is this nonsense witchcraft this book spouts at me? Apparently it thinks it's either a young attractive woman, an elf, or a drunken arena fighter that lacks penmanship!

It must have been that drink that whiterun guard has given me after I got out of that ridiculous prison sentence. Damn him!

Or, if this really is an enchanted diary. Oooooh, that Belethor fellow would have a field day with this indeed.

We're not trapped in a book, you fool. Somehow we all came across tomes that seem to link together. We can see what others write in these books, and reply to them. Don't ask me how that makes sense, I'm still looking into finding a mage who can inspect mine.

No, that's not right either. Apparently there are many of these enchanted books, and they're all linked with each other. If one person writes in one, it appears in every other ledger. Very strange, I admit, but then again, I have seen stranger.

Although I do not know anyone who could possibly have enough time to both enchant all these books and scatter them about. Perhaps a daedra did it?

Unless it's Sanguine. I hear stories that he plays these twisted pranks on us mortals whenever he feels like it. In that case, the only way to know for sure that this is indeed a prank is if I suddenly wake up in bed with a house full of stolen chickens the next morning.

If I ever find that idiot who can't comprehend that his diary is linked up to a bunch of other books and can't even spell four properly....

You know, the Nine, (or the Eight and One, or just the Eight, whatever you believe in) don't really even influence this realm that much. I would be surprised if they even tried to help someone under a Daedra's curse. Well, their Vigilants might, but their version of help is murder maim kill-kill. I suppose that is a form of helping.

On an unrelated note though, Vladimir, you wouldn't happen to sell blank books, would you? I might stop by Whiterun if I have the time.

I murder Thalmor for a living and take all of their stuff.

Won't ever use the armor or weapons they make though. Just sell that trash straight to fences and such, who shall remain anonymous.
