[Outside of Falkreath] Man or beast, we track either!

The Bosmer nodded in reply as the pair proceeded.

Amelin had expected this cave to be home to some animal, wolf or bear most likely. Yet there didn't appear to be any sign of this being claimed for a beast's residence. Even more puzzling, the darkness of the cavern seemed to brighten the further they went in.

This is why I hate caves

Noticing the growing darkness, Asren promptly sheathed her sword before digging around in her pack for a few moments, then handed the bosmer an unlit torch as she put her shield on her back once again. When she lit her own torch, she said crisply "Keep the torch unlit for now, I'll keep the light for now." before she drew her sword once again.

Amelin placed the unlit torch in her own pack as the two continued. The light from the torch seemed to provide a protective shield of sorts from the vast darkness.

For a supposedly small cavern, it was rather drafty, which would indicate there was a larger chamber ahead, perhaps a fully complex cave chamber. Either way, there was certainly more to this cavern than its uninspiring appearance suggested.

One thing for sure though, she hoped there were not any bats ahead.

For almost an hour, the two crept through the caverns carefully as they were only illuminated by torchlight. Asren attempted songs to keep their spirits up, singing softly anything that came to mind.
"Our hero, our hero claims a warrior's heart/I tell you I tell you the Dragonborn comes..."

An hour passed, an unnervingly long hour. Amelin had half expected to find something, instead, more darkness, no sign of any man of creature. The wind draft had not changed as well, whatever lied ahead in the tunnel, they were getting closer to it.

And then, they found the door.

Having found the chamber that the tunnel led to, the pair found themselves looking at a large metal entrance, cast in bronze.

The Bosmer whistled "You've ever seen anything like this?"

"Well, this is new."
Asren breathed softly, aiming the torch across the gate to take in it's glory. She'd never seen a dwarven ruin so close to Falkreath before, but she kept that detail to herself for now.
