Okay. I'm in a strange perdic situation and I need something to do. I think I am near Falkreath and I'm sitting in a cave FREEZING mind you. There was an old bedroll I'm sitting in and a torch but not much else. I'm not sure on where to go or what to do but I don't want to leave the cave.

Suggestions on killing time?

...Wait, what? What are you doing in a cave? In Falkreath? Do you need help? I'm sure someone here could contact the guards for the hold.

But, to kill time...read? It's an excellent way to pass time, better your grammar, and learn. Besides that, I can't think of many ways to spend time in a cave. Unless you're one of those alchemist types, and you could make potions or poisons.

I took shelter in here. No bears but there is a weird gate thing further in. People said not to go past it so I am not.

Asren, I have no idea where I am. I know that all I have is this ledger and ink and a quill. You really can't get rid of these things.

Far as I can tell, there is no way in or out past this gate. I think there is a lever on the other side.

Then hope whatever lurks on the other side of that door cannot use it. Falmer supposedly lack eyes, they're likely using their ears or noses to detect others. Just stay very quiet and keep back from that gate if you can't leave the cave.

Falmer caves tend to be quite dark because they don't need light to see with, so even if your pursuers (assuming there are any) enter the cave, it's unlikely you'll be detected. Stay away from the gate though, perhaps pick a dark corner that is away from the entrance of the cave and the gate and just hide out there for a while. Don't go to sleep, but keep a sharp eye out.

Well, if you want to be turned into a slave by the falmer, raped, eaten alive, or perhaps fed to their not-so-little pet monster bugs, if not outright killed... then go ahead.

Otherwise, keep your wits about you. Just because you can't see in the dark doesn't mean they can't detect you. Be ready to run if they come towards you. Do not try to defend yoursel for suffer one of the aforementioned fates. Just run like daedra are after you.
